VALENTINA SAMPAIO is a supermodel, actor, and activist who took to the scene in 2017 by appearing on the cover of Vogue Paris. Entitled “Transgender Beauty”, it was the first Vogue cover worldwide to ever feature a transgender model. Since then she has also appeared on many other magazine covers such as British Vogue, Vogue Brasil, Vogue Germany, Vogue Taiwan, Harper’s Bazaar Spain, Out Magazine, Vanity Fair Italia, and Elle France, to name a few. In addition to her editorial work, Valentina has been featured in international advertising campaigns for brands such as Moschino, H&M, Balmain, L’Oreal, Marc Jacobs Beauty, and Dior Beauty. Valentina is a trailblazer with many notable career highlights. In 2020, Valentina made her debut in Sports Illustrated ’s Swimsuit Issue, becoming the first transgender model to appear in the issue. Most recently, Valentina was appointed as an VS Angel & exclusive Ambassador to the VS Collective by Victoria’s Secret. In addition to being the first transgender model signed to the VS collective, Valentina also was appointed the first transgender beauty ambassador to Armani Beauty. A committed activist and an active partner to GLAAD and Pride Live, Valentina is vocal about the challenges facing the trans community. She has lent her voice and platform as a Stone Wall Day Ambassador, and to Starbucks Brazil’s “I AM” Campaign Video, which was featured during the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. The campaign, transformed participating Starbucks in Brazil into legal offices that offered free guidance and resources to help trans individuals legally change their names on official documents in Brazil. Making NFT history, Valentina, in partnership with The Lions and blockchain company LUKSO, dropped a special charity NFT the night of the MET Gala in 2021 which sold for a historic $300K; the largest sale of a charitable NFT to date.
